Electricity

Electric power is supplied to more than 250 buildings on the Cambridge and Allston campuses though Harvard's 13,800 volt micro-grid.  Our team maintains and operates the University's manhole and underground duct-bank system.  The peak demand for our electrical system is approximately 40 megawatts, which is roughly equivalent to the power needed to supply 40,000 homes.
